Login using the email you purchased "Lesson Architect" with.
Type in the "Lesson Topic".
Choose the Classroom Color Theme from the drop down "App Vibe" list. (These will only show up on the Students app.)
Type in your Name and Subject
Choose a "Main Activity Image" if desired. (The program automatically sizes the image. You just need to crop and edit prior to uploading.)
Mine filled out so far.
At this time I would recommend clicking the "Save Lesson" button. The program does save as you type but technology has a weird sense of humor and tends to bug out at the least expected time. If you ever need to you can go back to your "Downloads" folder and click on the *.JSON file to open in.
If you ever have to reload your lesson, click the "Open Lesson" button and go to the downloads folder on your computer and look for the json file. Click on the file and chose "open" at the bottom of the page.
Now click the "+ Add Next Step Button".
You’ll see a toolbar at the top of the screen. Here’s what each button does:
Add Above — Inserts a new step above the one you’re currently editing.
Add Below — Inserts a new step below your current step.
I clicked Header to turn this step into a Phase section. I will name it. "How to Begin". Now give the title a name.
"Opening the Program" Now we can write an explanation on how to open the html file. If you want you can add a picture. (You can leave this blank.)
Now click the next step or click "Delete" at the top of the box if you want to start over. You can add as many boxes as you wish to make a long or a short lesson.
When you are finished creating your lesson, I suggest creating a json file to store in case you ever need to come back and edit the lesson. Next click "Build Student App".
The Architect will say it is ready for Download.
Click "DOWNLOAD STUDENT APP. (HTML) To find the app, go to your downloads file and find the html you just downloaded.
This is the application you will provide to your students. Note: In some cases, HTML files must be compressed into a ZIP folder for distribution. When the recipient downloads it, they will need to select “Extract” before the file can be opened and viewed properly.
Hint: The student portion of this program can printout their progress or the whole lesson. I suggest printing it as a pdf (1st page only) and sending it to the teacher.
